Course Description

Come by yourself or bring your whole team to examine techniques of effective communication and provide tools for participants to enhance their communication skills. 


Following this session, attendees will be able to:

1. Define elements of effective communication.

2. Recognize communication barriers.

3. Define different types and styles of communication.

4. Identify methods of active listening.

5. Understand the value of feedback.

SAHA applied to the National Association for Healthcare Quality for 4 CPHQ continuing education hours.  The North Carolina Board of Nursing  (NCBON) accepts CPHQ credits for licensure and re-certification.




SAHA is authorized to award 4 hours of pre-approved ACHE Qualified Education credit (non-ACHE) for this program toward advancement, or recertification in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Participants in this program wishing to have the continuing education hours applied toward ACHE Qualified Education credit should indicate their attendance when submitting application to the American College of Healthcare Executives for advancement or recertification.
