Knowledge Sharing
When hospitals work together to share ideas, best practices, and resources, they make more quality improvement progress than hospitals that do not collaborate. Building relationships to improve care, safety, and quality is a true benefit of SAHA membership.
SAHA facilitates knowledge sharing in many different ways.
- The alliance arranges for educational programs to meet needs identified by its various teams; in fiscal year 2020-2021, for example, SAHA College provided 20 virtual educational offerings.
- The quarterly team meetings provide important forums for discussion about topics ranging from regulatory updates to professional development to patient safety.
- Informal communications among team members allows collaborative problem solving, information sharing, compliance strategies and ongoing opportunities for improvement.
- Secure internal listservs facilitate communication, sharing of ideas and online discussion among peers.
