Hospitals much comply with strict regulations set forth and enforced by The Joint Commission, CMS, the state health department, and other governing bodies, as well as National Patient Safety Goals. When members have a need for a clearer understanding of a regulation or how to be compliant with it, SAHA brings compliance specialists to them.
SAHA also supports continuing compliance programs, such as:
- Efforts to better collect and report heart attack, pneumonia, and congestive heart failure data to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and to improve their compliance with CMS best practices.
- Partnering with various organizations, like HCPro, the RAC monitor, and AHC Media to provide web based education and CEs on healthcare topics of interest.
