Clinical quality and patient safety are the highest priority for all SAHA member hospitals. Keys to achieving clinical and patient care goals are sharing best practices to improve hospital performance and partnering with the right organizations. SAHA facilitates these initiatives for our member institutions.
Quality and safety partnerships include:
- Engagement with the North Carolina Center for Quality and Patient Safety (NC Quality Center) through the North Carolina Surgical Care Improvement Project (NC SCIP); participating SAHA members increased its collective SCIP 5 Optimal Care Score by a dramatic 12 per cent.
- Our focus moving forward will be to work the North Carolina Quality Center, as the state’s first Patient Safety Organization to reduce 30-day readmissions.
