SAHA Alliance

Bill Bedsole, SAHA's Chief Executive Officer, joined SAHA in August 2011 after a lengthy career in hospital administration. After earlier stints in retail, alumni relations, and investment banking, Bedsole entered the healthcare field in 1983 at Halifax Memorial Hospital in Roanoke Rapids NC where he served as Controller until 1987. Bedsole left Halifax in 1987 to accept the position of Chief Financial Officer at Beaufort County Medical Center in Washington, NC. In 1995, Bedsole was given the additional role as Chief Operating Officer at Beaufort; and then in 2001, he was elevated to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Interestingly, Bedsole actually served dual roles as the CFO and CEO at Beaufort until 2005, at which time a new Chief Financial Officer was hired.

Swati Bhardwaj joined SAHA as a Project Manager in August 2007 and is currently the Director of Operations at the Alliance. Swati’s responsibilities in this role include chairing her existing initiative teams along with providing day to day oversight and support for SAHA staff.

Jessica Landin joined SAHA in August 2010 as a Project Manager. She works with several of SAHA's iniative teams, including Human Resources, Health Information Management, RAC, Emergency Department, HCAHPS/Patient Satisfaction, and Infection Control, among others. Jessica also manages and facilitates education initiatives through SAHA College. Jessica is pursuing a Master's of Health Administration from the Gillings School of Global Public Health at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and has a bachelor's degree in Journalism, also from UNC- Chapel Hill.

Chris Applewhite joined SAHA as a Project Manager in August 2011. He graduated in May 2011 with a Master of Healthcare Administration from the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Chris has a bachelor's in Psychology from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA.

Cindy Nobling is the Executive Assistant to the CEO and Office Manager for SAHA. She joined SAHA in March 2006. She is responsible for communications to the Board, Executive Committee and Finance Committee.
